The mosque of the Prophet was also the centre of the religious, political, and economic life of Muslims at the time of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Masjid-e-Nabvi is now 100 times larger than its original size and may accommodate half 1,000,000 worshippers at a time.
An outsized green dome now covers the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) residential quarters, where he’s buried alongside two caliphs, Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA) and Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA). Over two million Muslim pilgrims visit the Prophet’s Mosque annually.

Jannat-ul-Baqi
Jannat ul Baqi is found near the Prophet’s (PBUH) Mosque, where many companions and relatives of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) were buried. Among many of them, the foremost dominant are the wives of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) except Hazrat Khadija (RA) and Hazrat Maymonah. It is known as the world’s most famous and sacred graveyard. Every day, many muslims visit this place and ask for forgiveness and mercy.

The Hejaz Railway Museum in madina is a railway museum that was opened in 2006. It’s on the grounds of the restored historic Ottoman railroad station at madina, locally called “Istasyōn”, including a stretch of the historic track and a train shed with originally four tracks.
There are several engines and pieces of wheeled vehicles on display, some of which have been transported to the museum from other places along the historic Hejaz railway line.
A minimum of one engine has been restored enough to be drivable on the museum tracks. It is, alongside the old railway station at Mada’in Saleh, one of two museums in Saudi Arabia dedicated to the Hejaz railway.
